*Cracked Pot*

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." "Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?" "I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said.
The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path." Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.
The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."

Sometimes I feel that I have many flaws but in the end we are all cracked pots and its the cracks and flaws that perhaps make my life interesting and in the end rewarding.

*Sad Weekend*

Crying 1 So Sunday night I got my car stolen. This morning I woke up and i looked out the window to look at an empty space where my car was. It really sucks considering my job place changed further away. I had started to get attached with it, I went to report it hopefully they find it though I doubt it now i need another car. I wish I had time enough to save up for a better car but with the cold and rainy season coming and my job so far away I need one now . Driving This really really really sucks.

*Jellyfish Adventure*

So on Friday I didnt work because I got punished for calling in sick on Thursday so they gave me Friday off..lol..oh the minds of imbeciles ,Anyhow me and my sister went to the beach and while we were in the water I spotted a Jellyfish and we freaked out..haha so we dragged the jellyfish to shore with the big pieces of seaweed that were there . We didnt want to touch it cuz we were scared it was gonna shoot off stuff so then we started poking the heck out of the jellyfish with a stick , obviously it was dead ,it was nuts the center part was the hardest and the sides were the softest. Later on Karen found a little crab, which we put on top of a dead moth.hahah.. yes i know we will never grow up.I got brave and touched the jellyfish but it was making Karen nervous so I stopped . We probably saw 3 dead jellyfish that day. Anyways we brought home a chunk of jellyfish but it had to be thrown away cuz it reeked!! but it was a fun day at the beach :P Posted by Picasa

*God, in the darkness of Katrina may they see your stars *

This picture really touched me and while I write this my eyes water I think about all the elder, all the children, all the families that had a place they called home and now they have only pieces of wood floating in water. especially the elderly or poor that didn’t even have the money to get out of the city or were too weak to even move. There have been times when I have felt so lonely but I know there are so many things that I should always be thankful for and things I always thank God for , like having a family. (so many cannot find their family members right now ), having friends that care even if its only a few( some have lost their most loved ones), being healthy (some people haven’t had water or an adequate amount of food to eat including infants), having shelter (people have lost their homes and some have spent the entire night on rooftops). I can only imagine to be in a situation like that and I pray it never happens but I pray for strength to be given to all those people ,hopefully everyone reading this knows that even though life is not perfect all the time and that there are bad days that get the best of us , there are so many things that we have that other people don’t. It takes seconds to destroy something that can take years to built. We should hold grasp of everyone we love and never take them for granted. Imagine the man in the picture was your grandmpa? Your father? Posted by Picasa
